ESSENTIAL OIL MINT POLEGGIO
Menta poleggio is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family that reaches 30 cm in height. Like all species of Mint, it emits a very intense aromatic odor. It has 1-2 cm long leaves with a lanceolate or linear shape and slightly arched with a short petiole. The flowers are grouped in spherical verticils that form at the base of the leaves, are pink-purple and 4-6 millimeters long. Flowering occurs in the summer, between the months of May and September. Its natural habitat is represented by humid areas such as the banks of waterways and ponds. Originally from the Mediterranean basin. In North America it is mainly distributed in the states of the west coast.
